An invitation to Musica Sacra's Garden Party at Zealandia

GARDEN PARTY AT ZEALANDIA

The Trustees of Musica Sacra invite you to attend the Choir's special Garden Party, to be held at the Zealandia Sculpture Garden, Mahurangi West on Saturday 28 February at 3:00pm (rain date: Sunday 1 March).

This is an exclusive invitation and it is not being advertised to the general public: only now to members of Musica Sacra's mailing list. Places are limited to 100.

Zealandia is the exquisite and remarkable home of Terry Stringer and Musica Sacra Trustee Tim McWhannell. We are delighted to announce that Mr Stringer, one of New Zealand's leading sculptors, has generously created a special work of art, Theatre of Life, exclusively for Musica Sacra; this medallion in pressed copper, in a limted edition of 75, will be available for sale at the Garden Party. This promises to be a wonderful and highly enjoyable summer afternoon. As well as the chance to purchase the exclusive Stringer medallion, the Garden Party includes wine and afternoon tea, full access to the Sculpture Garden, and musical entertainment by Musica Sacra and by Indra Hughes and John Wells at the organ in the garden. There is also the opportunity to enjoy the special exhibition Te Kauri - A survey of images of a tree and its culture, which includes Colin McCahon's French Bay 1956, from the collection of the James Wallace Arts Trust.

Tickets to the Garden Party are $65 per person. At the Garden Party, the new Stringer works will be on sale at $280 each. Places are limited to 100, so we do encourage you to place your order early.

To order, you can email your details to bookings@musicasacra.org.nz, remembering to include your name, postal address, credit card number, expiry date and the name on the card, as well as the number of tickets you require.

If you prefer not to send your details by email, please click here to download a form which you can then either fax to 09 422 0099, or post to Musica Sacra: the address is on the form. In this case you can also pay by cheque.
